Anna Amarande. Local musician, freelance hunter, pirate captain. I'm the chick with the robot body and the incredible taste in music. Some of you probably know me.
Thanks. It's just the English version of my middle name, though. Nothing special. Real easy to come up with, but still foreign enough to the pirates out there that it sounds impressive. Plus if you listen to certain songs from back home, it makes me sound like I'm immortal.
You're definitely better at publicity than I am. And at English. I didn't know it means immortal.
I didn't get a chance to tell you thank you for the music at Palamedes-san's party. I wanted to ask you how it worked? My classmate has audio jacks as a Quirk and can weaponize her heartbeat, but I'm guessing a Quirk isn't the case here.
[ Is he taking notes? He may well be taking physical notes. Nerd. ]
It doesn't, really. It's just flowery stuff, you know? Kind of meant to make normal plant things sound more beautiful. Amaranth never really loses its color, even when it dies. They call it love-lies-bleeding, too.
Definitely ain't a quirk. It's just how my body does. I've got a panel full of jacks on my side and I can use myself as an amplifier. On account of being a robot and all. It's just electronics all the way down.
Well it sounds beautiful and sad and very strong. Do you like that flower then?
Do you mean robot or cyborg? Sorry if it's rude to ask. You don't have to answer. Prosthetics have come a long way in my world, but we're not there yet.
There's a couple other flowers I'm partial to. But lunar tears don't grow here yet. So amaranth it is.
I mean cyborg, but I just use robot because it's faster. Probably only a matter of time before I go full robot anyway, though. Or, uh, android. Gynoid. Whatever. You know that seam I have across my neck? That's where the human part starts.
I would never mean disrespe Belay that, I'd never keelhaul a chance to prove my worth seaworthiness as a sea pirate and scurvy dog, crewmember of The Lonely Island under The Dread Captain Amaranth. I am always ready to hoist the sails and swab the deck and stuff.
Oh, hey, what's up? Yeah, I mean. I'm pretty good at swinging my sword around and I look amazing in a tricorn. Just trying to keep myself useful for the people around here. Just who I am, you know?
Well, yeah, of course. Music is my thing for me. But I still like being able to do shit for people. Spent too much time not doing that and maybe I missed the way it feels.
Ha. I guess if you wanna see it like that, yeah. For me it feels more like I'm giving back to the people and places that made me who I am. And maybe that's not as big a deal here in Trench, but it sure as hell mattered to me in Recollé.

There are hero names longer than that, so you're just fine. I think it sounds really cool.

At Paul-kun's party you guessed when and where I was from. Are you from America?
