Use the filter name to INCLUDE the above without excluding other characters. (Snakes don't close their eyes even to sleep.)

Oh, you know.
Someone who looks just a little too cool to be a regular person. Like they were designed to appeal to other people instead.
Maybe they have white hair, maybe they have a really cool sword or an eyepatch.
Maybe they've got some convoluted tragic backstory or something.
Don't know where I could find someone to use as an example, though...

You're telling me every 'anime character' is just like that. The same archetype again and again. Is 'anime' good, actually?

Oh, it REALLY depends on the anime.
There's classics, there's like space opera and shit like that. Fantasy westerns, steampunk stuff with alchemy, you know. Varied casts of characters with different motivations, distinct designs and voices and stuff.
But then you get stuff like... I Can't Believe I Woke Up as a Worker Ant and the Queen is a Hot High School Girl????.
And I am not even stretching the truth very far for that one.

Not that I've ever really watched a lot of it or anything. I just used to be really, really online.

And here I was going to ask for recommendations.

Is that ant one real?

It's way, way closer to a real one than it should be.
It's part of this genre called isekai, where basically a normal person (usually someone from modern-day Japan) gets sucked into a completely different world and has to figure out how to adjust to their life.
Sometimes they're a prophesied ruler for the world they get sucked into, sometimes they accidentally propose to a nobleman because they dropped a piece of silverware, sometimes they fall in love with a wolf spirit.
Sometimes the new world is metaphorical and they just end up awoken to a whole sublayer of reality that they never even knew existed. That's usually supernatural stuff, whether it's demon hunting or becoming a zombie idol group.

But again, I don't know much about anime and I'm not a nerd.

I've read enough Sixth novels to know where most of these are going. Have you talked to any nerds who know any good anime to watch? Purely off the dome that you can remember from other people.

Oh yeah, no, there's like.
We've got one called Allsteel Transmutation about a kid and his brother trying to use alchemy to find their dead mom. That one's a classic if you're into political intrigue and the Seven Deadly Sins.
Look for Bloodline, there's one that's just called Allsteel Transmutation that's also okay but Bloodline follows the actual story way more closely.
Then there's Wrangler Rocksteady, which is like. Bounty hunters flying through space, kind of found family stuff, comedy, noir... it's a classic, honestly. Don't worry about the name.
And I guess for newer stuff, I heard a lot of good things about Hacksawdude, but I never read it myself. Really gory, but it's supposed to have one of the best written stories of our time.

The names might be a little different when you look them up.
Noticed the Omni tends to do that, but the stories are the same.
