[A little from column A...a little from column B. Heroes are still people in the end, and all people are flawed. No one person is "good" or "bad" because of the moniker they bear. Ochako learned that lesson quite recently when she took a slimy, cocooned nap and months passed in her world that she now remembers and experienced.]

aaahhh thank you... (*/▽\*)
I've definitely been training hard to perfect it, and shape it into use with my martial arts.

Oh, and discussing one's quirks is no big deal at all!!
lol, I hope Deku-kun tolf you that nearly the whole of our global population has one.
**told
Talking about them is sort of like talking about someone's haircut, or eye color, or something. No big deal, really.

Thank you so much!! Though not everything I showed at the tournament was what I learned with my quirk, since I couldn't use it in the unarmed division...
I "flew" using techniques Amaterasu-sama showed me that are purely physical.
And maybe need a little faith, too. ;P

(yeah!! since the Omni uses a whole bunch of characters and letter and stuff, probably cuz of all the people here from different world, I can use a few ones I know.)

Oh. Yeah, you're actually right.
People born without a quirk are called "quirkless" and a lot of the time they're treated pretty badly...cuz in this day and age, society evolved around HAVING a quirk.
Not having one sort of makes it really, really difficult to integrate, like you said.
But the thing is, people WITH quirks are also discriminated against too, depending on the TYPE of quirk they have.
It's...not as great as I was raised to believe, actually. Society, I mean.

[And the current war just brought out the absolute worst in people. It was...the hardest thing ever, that she had to do, back on the roof of UA - trying to connect all those split and tethered threads together again. to make everyone listen, and come together to see the pain and suffering that Izuku was going through, and the burden of his responsibility, and the weight of the quirk he was carrying...and all that came with it.]

I'll see if it can be broadcast, but i'm not sure.
Hehe, you're right, definitely.

[But Amaterasu, being a goddess and all...it's a little bit different. Or at least Ochako likes to think so. Maybe her techniques are all really based around belief and all that. Kind of funny, but it's worked up until now, so...why change it?]

(HAHAHA YES!! That one it really cute!!
ʕ ᵔᴥᵔ ʔ see, this one is a bear!!!)

Ah...yeah.
It's really stupid.
I don't really think having a bad quirk, or even NO quirk, really makes a difference how someone could integrate into society.
It's not about the quirk. It's about how to apply it. For the longest time, I thought I was only good as a rescue Hero, because my quirk is mostly used as support...
But after realizing that's not the case, and limiting myself to just one point of view limits ME as a person and Hero...I changed. Now I can fight, and put my quirk into practice with my martial arts, and think up creative ways to use it in combat.
It's all about the user, not the power. Anything can be strong if it's honed enough, you know?

But you're right...prejudice and power games exist in humanity no matter what.
Good, bad, heroes, villains...
Everyone does it. It's a trait of PEOPLE in general.

[The strong dominate the weak. And if not dominate, then control. It's the rule of nature. Their own government did it - the Hero Commission. In order to control how their "Hero Society" was viewed...they controlled various Heroes to do dirty work from the shadows, and eliminate threats to the facade of perfection. Of a happy, shining, bright society.

War showed the ugly truth behind everything. The cracked and flawed foundation of what their world was...came crashing down at last. It's no longer about bringing back what once was, but rebuilding something new. Something better.]

Pfft...IF I beat him. I still think Bakugou is way stronger than I am, but I'm at least confident I can HIT him this time.
Hopefully...

(CUUUTE...
ʕ ˘ڡ˘ ʔっ♨
The bear is cooking his fish!!)

Oh.
You're like Sir Nighteye then.
That's cool.

[It...always is sort of strained talking about Nighteye. She really, really thought that time would help, and it did a little, but not enough. It's never going to be enough. Not for Ochako, specifically. He was in her arms... Even if she couldn't--...there should have been more she could do. Her tone, even in text, is going to be a bit clipped going forward. Remembering that just made Ochako remember others, all the turmoil going on back home, the chaos, the loss...]

No, they don't. Not really, anyway.
We're taught how to deescalate, sure, but mostly because Heroes are never supposed to kill. We have to abide by the laws set by the government just as much as anyone else.
I guess I just have way more...experience than others out there.
My friends and I learned a lot over time...not necessarily from school.

[Life experience, and some real world wisdom. War is difficult, on everyone, and Ochako and her classmates have seen true hell. Death. Loss. Betrayal. Hurt. And the burden of responsibility. But they've also seen friendship, comradery, courage, and hope through it all, too.]

I didn't think so either.
It was something I experienced, not really learned.
Anyone can be someone's Hero. Even if they're the worst person ever.
It's a matter of perspective.

I bet a lot of what he tells about Heroes is the glamorous side. All the good, fun, exciting stuff.
I still do that, too.
But the reality is...it's a lot harder than anyone realizes. We've all been through a lot of really, really scary things. Terrible things that'll stay with us forever, probably.
Deku holds onto those types of things way worse than ANYONE I know.

[Bakugou is a very close second, but Izuku is in a league all his own. He uses his failures to fuel his drive forward, and the flames burn so hot they sometimes damage anything and everything around them...until it needs to be contained. It was exactly why he ran away, and their whole class had to go and get him. He was scared, determined to put everything on his shoulders and do it all himself. So no one would worry, so everyone would be safe.

Idiot.]

No, it's alright, please don't apologize.
Like I said, it's just difficult to remember...but it's unfortunately something we have to deal with a lot, just by being in the field we're in.
It still hurts, but dwelling on it too long stops you from moving forward, you know?
floatsaway: (172.)

[personal profile] floatsaway 2022-07-15 08:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah.
I really, really hope that after everything...he's learned not to put everything on his shoulders like he used to.

[It remains to be seen, but Ochako trusts Izuku. She has since the start, and that's not going to easily change. If he's determined to change, to let others help him when the burden is too much to bear, then she believes he'll make that change. It just needed all of them to make him see that his life is just as important as everyone he sought to protect.]

You're exactly right Paul-kun.
About everything.
I'm really, really lucky to have made a friend like Deku.
...Izuku.
floatsaway: (114.)

gonna wrap this up here!!

[personal profile] floatsaway 2022-07-18 06:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Hahaha, I like that idea!!
I'm REALLY good at lifting weights, too. ;P

[Ochako can appreciate the serious matter taken in the form of a joke. They're all going through a lot right now - back home and in Trench, too. Izuku needs people like this in his life - those who can support him, don;t try to exactly stop him from doing what he feels in right in his heart, but to mitigate the damage he does to himself and support him when he needs it. Because no matter what, a team of strong people will always, always, be stronger than one person alone.]

Of course, and thank you too, Paul-kun.
Please continue taking care of Deku when me and my friends can't, and I'll do the same.
I'm sure he's said it already to you, but...he's very lucky to have found someone who care care about him as much as you do, too.
I'll see you around then, ne? ♥
