How does it become more and not less dull? Is your clothing remarkably uninteresting?

Firstly, people who talk about their clothes exclusively are very dull.

Secondly, yes. I choose mine with the intention of being wholly unmemorable.

That ... is a good point, I have met one or two individuals who come close to that. It is talking about fashion and one or two other things to the exclusion of all others.

I only wear black, but apparently that is memorable.

Exactly; fashion changes so often you might as well just embrace being unstylish.

In my world, it's associated with various countercultures. That's the case for some people I've met in Trench as well; I don't even wear black and I've been called a "goth kid."
