So this is actually something my friend Uraraka-san did. Both my arms were broken, and we had nothing, so she used her shirt and some sticks as temporary splints. First aid with improvised materials is not recommended, there's chance of infection, but we were going to receive professional medical aid very soon anyway, provided we lived. The objective in that case was stabilizing my arms enough to keep me able to move. There were also adrenaline and endorphins in play.

We learn that type of training when you become a Warrior Candidate. Titan vessels don't reflect pain onto the shifter, so putting too much power into a blow could break the arms. But titans regenerate. It must've taken a long time for you to recover, Mister Izuku.
