What about reincorporation? The rule of threes? There are comedians who can ensure that the same joke is actually funnier in additional contexts. There's nearly a science to it.
I'm new to comedy in any context, and also to having friends. I just believe that if something is to be attempted, an attempt at excellence should at least be made.
