And I don't know, I've only ever been to one party where I wasn't exclusively addressed as 'Master Warden' or just 'Warden.' I don't introduce myself with puns; it's not funny if I'm all but pointing a "look! funny!" sign at it.

No. But nobody really thinks repeating the same jokes over and over is funny. The context would be all wrong.

What about reincorporation? The rule of threes? There are comedians who can ensure that the same joke is actually funnier in additional contexts. There's nearly a science to it.

Are you a comedian, or are you trying to make your friends laugh? You don't need to perform to scientific perfection for your friends.

I'm new to comedy in any context, and also to having friends. I just believe that if something is to be attempted, an attempt at excellence should at least be made.
