Apparently you can not just read and navigate but also type which was actually beyond my confidence. I may have suspected, but I was not willing to put any weight to the hypothesis.
(Stasya believes she is incapable of reading, to explain further.)
have you considered employing trickery and guile, or possibly writing something out very large with bones in the yard that tells her where to find her favorite treat?
i mean it probably helps that i'm not typing, exactly, it's a complete joke to say this thing has a proper keyboard, see also: look, ma, no hands!
(also, she'd prolly do better if you'd had a partial extra soul to spin off into her, but since you kept your extra soul whole and so she got to keep her very-nearly-original body instead, dot dot dot)
If I tried something very large with bones, they would likely be borrowed by at least two or three house-mates before she managed to finish with them.
But doing so in small bones that still made words much larger than the average text on a page could, potentially, be possible. And, yes: it has precisely as much keyboard as you, sir, have hands.
(I believe that your situation is unique amongst Omens.)
i mean, 'very large' is still a very relative scale, when you're a 5'10" x 4" floating tube, and also depends on which housemates you had in mind, maybe
start with small and pointy words! both in terms of 'go find the treat over there' and in terms of 'that way you can just use phalanges instead of trying to find rib bones that are small enough and curved enough' because you can't have mine. :P
honestly i gotta say i kind of miss the way tablet keyboards worked though. i was so used to them! but also i don't think they'd respond as well to my tongue as they did to my thumbs, so what are you gonna do? (you're gonna use an omni instead is what you're gonna do)
(it might be unique, but it also might only be unique for now, we don't really know what's going to happen if any of the other first seven lyctors show up, yet!)
... I was going to ask how, but I suppose you are already defying physics.
Just wondering. Scientific curiosity. I have not seen Stasya or Big Boy do anything other than what canines and equines would be expected to do. If they are where I do not perceive it, I do not know.
Stasya would climb the side of the house. She likes to climb trees and has been trying to learn "how to goat," which in turn is how I learned what a 'goat' is.
you could probably get her up on the space next to the roof just as easy, is my point, there
get up on the roof, get her out in the yard, call her up to come join you, acting like you're expecting her to just run up through the air, and she probably will!
You are likely correct that if Stasya believes running in the sky is reasonable she will simply do it, because she is highly agreeable. Omens are meant to be the souls of their sleepers, but mine seems to be the opposite instead.
[ actually, she's all the repressed parts. except turned up to "dog." ]
Circling back, I wonder if just starting with an arrow made of phalanges or ossicles pointing toward a reward would help start on the concept of reading ...
[ Harrow sent this part by mistake. Because her mind wandered onto picturing Gideon in tweed. The mental image is so strange and such a blend between attractive-appealing (if repressedly so) and utterly bizarre that her thoughts stuttered. ]
tweed. Trench does not to my knowledge make tweed T-shirts or athletic gear.
are you sure you don't just want me to take you shopping? we could make a day of it, see the sights, smell the air, undulate across the different fabrics, it'll be fun!

because they probably can fly, or swim, or float, or whatever
but again, they might not realize it, if none of you guys have given them reason to explore their limitations

I am not sure we want Big Boy on the roof.

Is this a cavalier thing that simply skipped over Ortus and his father.
